DV BAKE SALE// Grinnell's Dissenting Voices raises money for SANE
Dissenting Voices hosted the first ever Bake Sale in order to raise funds to bring Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners to the Grinnell Community, as neither our local hospital or our Student Health and Counseling Center have any. We raised $112.75 in three hours, and the group is excited to host more bake sales in the future to continue raising funds for SANE nurses. This was part of a series of events hosted by or in collaboration with Dissenting Voices. Other events included the Teach-In, Take Back the Night (a safe space to speak out against sexual violence and reclaim campus spaces for survivors), and a Bob's Underground open-mic.

The Scarlet and Black, Grinnell's all campus newspaper, published Dissenting Voices' list of aims and goals, subsequently presented to administrators, for entire campus.

TITLE IX: REWIND OR MUTE// The GUM publishes first person account of DV protest
While administration and Grinnell's student government held an event to address the question of sexual assault policy on campus, they controlled the questions. Dissenting Voices protested the event, and member Sarah Farbman, who did not protest, gives a first person account of the experience.
